Registered Plumbing ContractorsTo be listed as a registered contractor in the Stege Sanitary District, a contractor must be licensed, have proper insurance and utilize required OSHA permits as described below:
Private Sewer LateralA private sewer lateral (PSL) is the pipe that connects the plumbing in a home or business to the sanitary sewer main, usually located in the street. The PSL carries sewage from a building to a public sanitary sewer. It is the responsibility of the property owner to maintain the sewer lateral.
Backflow Prevention Device (BPD)A properly installed Backflow Prevention Device (BPD) is designed to prevent sewage from entering your residence.
