District's Roles and Responsibilities

Stege Sanitary District does NOT handle garbage / solid waste / storm drains.

District personnel provide the routine operation and maintenance of the sanitary sewer system main lines. The District also administers permitting services for the sanitary sewer laterals and provide guidance on proper sewer lateral construction. The District is no longer maintaining the Private Sewer Lateral (PSL) Regional Ordinance requirements. The PSL Regional Ordinance requirements are now maintained by East Bay Municipal District (EBMUD).
