Plan Check Procedures

As part of the City/County plan check review process you must first submit plans to the Stege Sanitary District for review/stamp. Simply walk-in to provide printed full-size paper plans to our office prior to submitting to the City/County.  The District will review the same plans submitted to the City/County, and applicants typically provide 3 sets of full size plans.  After your plans are reviewed and fees are paid you may submit them to the City/County.

There is a 24 hour turn around time for review and plans are accepted over the counter.

No application form is needed. We only take cash or check for payment.  No credit cards.

 

 

Plan Check Detailed Process and Requirements

As part of the City/County plan check review process you must first submit plans to the Stege Sanitary District for review/stamp.

You need not take any special steps, just provide plans to our office prior to submitting to the City.  No application form is needed, all plans are accepted over the counter.  You can submit the same plans to us for plan check review as you would the City/County.

There is no online plan check process, paper plans must be printed and submitted to the Stege office.

 

What Must be Included in Plan Sets

At a minimum the plans must include:

Cover sheet with address and project description, site plan view / vicinity map with property lines, existing demolition, proposed improvements, details of sewer lateral including alignment and materials, if applicable.

Fixture counts of plumbing fixtures to be removed and added.

Other unrelated sheets such as structural is not required.

Minimum printed plan size is 11x17.

 

If possible please print out an extra set for the District to keep.  (For commercial & multi-family properties only, extra copy not required for single family residential properties)

 

Submitting Your Plans to District Offices

After your plans are reviewed and fees are paid the District will STAMP approved plans and you may submit them to the City/County.

You will need to submit paper plans, in person, at District offices for plan check review and stamp.

You may bring as many copies of plans as you want for review.  Consult with the building permit agency (City or County) regarding how many plans they required reviewed/stamped. 

 

Stege requests an extra copy (to keep) for COMMERCIAL & MULTI-FAMILY projects, Stege does not require an extra copy of plans for single family residential projects.
