Alexander Borys is a retired civil engineer with a strong interest in safeguarding the environment, protecting public health, and ensuring responsible stewardship of Stege infrastructure. As a resident of El Cerrito for 26 years, Alex understands the importance of reliable, well-maintained wastewater systems to the quality of life, health, and environmental well-being of our community.
Alex brings his experience in public service, engineering, and project management from his 27-year employment at EBMUD, along with a practical, collaborative approach to public service. He is committed to sound long-term planning, transparent governance, fiscal responsibility, and clear communication with residents.
As a Stege Sanitary District Board Director, Alex strives to invest wisely in maintenance and infrastructure, help reduce sewer-system overflows and foster adoption of a sustainable energy policy while keeping rates fair and understandable for customers.
